MITX awards Curata’s Content Marketing Software as the Most Innovative B2B Technology in 2014
BOSTON, Massachusetts - The Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (MITX) named the content marketing software developed by Curata as the Best B2B Innovation at the 2014 MITX What’s Next Awards on May 29 at the Westin Waterfront in Boston.
The MITX What’s Next Awards are the largest awards in the country for marketing innovation, celebrating the best creative and technological accomplishments emerging from New England. A panel of judges selected this Cambridge-based software company as a finalist based on a submission of case studies. After presenting a live, on-site demo to the judges prior to the awards ceremony, Curata emerged as the winner over Akamai, HeyWire, LogMeIn, YesWare and other finalists in the category.

Curata’s winning submission showcased the work of two Massachusetts-based clients that use the company’s software - 360 Chestnut and Aternity.

Aternity, an application performance management vendor based in Westborough, Mass., utilizes Curata for an industry news site called EndUserExperience2Day that contains a mix of both original created and curated content. The blog has performed extremely well since its inception. According to a MarketingSherpa case study, Aternity has been able to increase their email list by 130% in a year. The site also is a top traffic source for the company’s corporate site, driving high quality visitors who on average spend approximately six minutes on the corporate site.
The other company cited in Curata’s submission has seen similar success. Capitalizing on the efficiencies provided by Curata’s technology, 360Chestnut, a firm that connects homeowners to energy efficient contractors, increased its blogging output from one or two posts per week to five to seven. Similarly, the company also boosted its Twitter engagement by 25 percent through Curata's one-click social media promotion capabilities.
