Michael Gerard Joins Curata as Chief Marketing Officer
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 17, 2013 -- Curata Inc., the leading provider of business grade content curation software, today announced that Michael Gerard has joined its executive team as Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Gerard will be responsible for all aspects of Curata's marketing strategy, including awareness building, demand generation and sales enablement.

Prior to joining Curata, Michael was cofounder of IDC's CMO and Sales Advisory Practices where he worked with companies such as Oracle, IBM, Citrix, Symantec, Salesforce.com, Eloqua and Marketo to improve their marketing and sales productivity. Michael has also held senior marketing and sales roles for major technology industry players and start-up companies such as Kenan Systems, Prospero (mZinga) and Millipore.
Michael has presented at leading industry events, such as IDC events, MIT Sloan School of Management's events, Sales 2.0 conferences, and SAVO's Sales Enablement Summit. Michael is often cited in leading publications, including BtoB Magazine, Sales and Marketing Management, and Marketing News by AMA; and is a frequent blogger and "Tweeter". He received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a BS in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University.
