Curata Appoints Amber Picotte as VP of Marketing
BOSTON—August 15, 2016 Content marketing software company Curata is delighted to announce the appointment of Amber Picotte to the newly created position of vice president of marketing. Picotte is responsible for scaling marketing processes in order to drive demand for software at the rapidly growing company, which has more than tripled its employee count in the last 18 months.
“Amber’s experience at Eloqua, Wordstream, and SnapApp combines both demand generation and content marketing,” said Curata CEO Pawan Deshpande. “It’s the perfect background for what we need. The adoption of content marketing technology is accelerating rapidly, and Curata is growing aggressively along with it. Amber will be crucial to driving that growth.”
A graduate of Rhode Island’s Bryant University, Picotte’s Boston-based tech career has seen her gain specific expertise in online marketing and marketing technology from Unica, Eloqua, and Wordstream, amongst others. Picotte is used to quick scaling, having been part of three marketing teams whose successful growth led to their acquisition: Ardence by Citrix, Unica by IBM, and Eloqua by Oracle. At Wordstream Picotte helped grow the marketing team from five to fifteen employees, expanding channels, scaling lead generation, and developing repeatable processes as Wordstream hit the Inc. 5000 list three years running for one of Boston’s highest growth tech companies.
“Having been immersed in marketing and sales automation programs, I have first-hand knowledge of how essential a consistent stream of great content is to generating sales,” said Picotte. “Curata’s content is excellent, and their sophisticated software delivers sure-fire results for marketing teams. I’m excited to be joining the company.”
