Pawan Deshpande is the founder and CEO of Curata. Pawan is responsible for the company's vision, management and advanced development initiatives. Pawan has held software engineering positions at Microsoft and Google and was awarded patents in social networking and natural language processing areas. Pawan earned his S.B. and M. Eng. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Randy Bernard is the director of sales at Curata. Randy is responsible for leading Curata's sales engine and increasing Curata's customer base. Randy has a strong reputation for coaching and retaining highly productive and motivated sales teams. With over 10 years of sales, management and leadership experience Randy has worked for Zmags, A&L Advertising Group and Paragon Promos. He has also owned and operated his own customer acquisition firms. Randy attended Roger Williams University.
Craig Blum, the director of client success at Curata, is responsible for building and managing the company's client and partner relationships. Craig joined Curata from Viximo, where he managed the company's partner network. Prior to that, he performed a client services role at Matchmine and held key engineering positions at Constant Contact and edocs. Craig earned his B.S. in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Babson College.
Jessie Zubatkin is the director of marketing at Curata. She brings over 10 years of marketing expertise, passion and creativity to the Curata team. Prior to joining Curata, she served as the Producer at Rival Marketing where she managed all the agency accounts. Before that, Jessie worked with the creative services team at VistaPrint. Jessie earned her B.S. in Studio Art and Marketing from Skidmore College and her MA in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College.

Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande
Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande is the President of Sparta Group LLC, and Chairman of Curata, A123 Systems (AONE), Sycamore Networks (SCMR) and Tejas Networks. Dr. Deshpande is an influential technology entrepreneur and visionary whose companies and ideas often reshape entire industries. Prior to co-founding Sycamore Networks, Dr. Deshpande was founder and chairman of Cascade Communications Corp. Dr. Deshpande serves as a member of the MIT Corporation, and his generous support has made possible MIT's Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. Dr. Deshpande holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras, an M.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, and Ph.D. in Data Communications from Queens University in Canada.
Eric Swanson is a serial entrepreneur. In addition to serving on the board of Curata, Mr. Swanson is currently on the board or otherwise involved in several high tech startup companies covering a wide range of technologies including: web technologies, biomedical imaging, and telecommunications. Mr. Swanson consults for several venture capital firms, is a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, consultant at Draper Laboratories, and does a variety of volunteer activities. Mr. Swanson was a co-founder of several successful start-up companies. This includes Sycamore Networks (NASDAQ IPO), Lightlab Imaging (acquired by St. Jude Medical), Advanced Ophthalmic Devices (Acquired by Carl Zeiss Meditec). Mr. Swanson has authored more than 180 technical papers and holds over 25 US patents and numerous foreign patents. He is a Fellow of the OSA and senior member of the IEEE. Mr. Swanson holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the MIT.
Art Papas is CEO of Bullhorn, the world's largest recruitment software company. Bullhorn's Software as a Service solutions are used by more than 200,000 recruiters at 5,000 companies in over 150 countries. Art co-founded Bullhorn in 1999 and has led it since then. He is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Staffing Association, Portfolio Science Inc. and Career Collaborative, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on helping to end working class poverty. Art is a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Tufts University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
Larry Kim founded WordStream in 2007. He bootstrapped the company by providing internet consulting services while funding/managing a team of engineers and marketers to develop and sell software for search engine marketing automation. In August of 2008 he secured a 4M Series A investment from Sigma Partners. Today he serves as company CTO and is a contributor to both the product team and marketing teams. Larry practices photography in his spare time.
Alex Boroda is a system administrator, brings over 15 years of system administration and infrastructure management experience to Curata. Prior to joining the company, he held key roles in visionary start ups where he deployed and managed large scale infrastructure and utilized virtualization technology for server consolidation. Alex earned his degree in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University.
Dan Craig is a software engineer at Curata. He brings seven years of experience building, testing, and maintaining safety-critical software. Prior to joining Curata, he served as Senior Systems Engineer at Avidyne Corp., where he designed aircraft guidance, navigation, and autopilot systems. Dan earned an S.B. and Master of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jack Diederich is a senior software engineer at Curata. Jack has earned the respect and attention of the Python community for his intellectual leadership which he generously shares at industry conferences. He joined Curata from Psynchronous Communications, a company Jack co-founded to develop actionable web analytic tools for non-technical users. Prior to that, he held a key engineering position at CDNOW.com. Jack earned a B.S. degree from Lehigh University.
Chris Guidry is a senior software engineer at Curata. Chris brings 14 years of experience designing, building, and testing enterprise web systems, with a focus in the last five years on rich and responsive web user interfaces. Prior to joining the team at Curata, Chris served as the senior web engineer at Absolute Software, the system architect for Lamar Advertising, held several consulting positions focused on web systems, and earned a B.S. in Philosophy from Louisiana State University.
Derek Jacobson is a sales support specialist at Curata. He brings 3 years of sales support experience and enthusiasm to the back end of the sales organization. Prior to joining the Curata team, he also had 7 years of management experience in the service industry. Derek has a B.A. in Philosophy and English from Bates College.
Joseph Rossi is a software engineer at Curata. Joseph joined Curata from SONiVOX where he was responsible for quality assurance as well as improving build and release procedures. Prior to that he was a freelance web designer and developer. Joseph is a graduate of Berklee College of Music.
Dominic Serafini is a senior sales executive at Curata, with over 10 years of experience in online sales and marketing strategy. He understands what it takes for businesses to compete and grow in challenging markets, by leveraging the web to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Dominic has earned the trust of marketing teams across the country, as an early-stage member of start-ups like HubSpot and Monster.com. Dominic is a graduate of the College of Journalism and Communications, at the University of Florida.
Patrick Gardner is a senior sales executive at Curata. With a background in social media strategy, account management and online advertising, he has a reputation for building long-lasting client relationships through a combination of thorough needs analyses and creative problem solving. A graduate of Boston College, Patrick has worked for Meltwater Buzz, in which he helped launch Meltwater’s social media product and client relations division. He also worked for Patch Media, a division of AOL, in which he helped acquire new regional advertisers throughout New England.
Mike Garbus is machine learning engineer at Curata. Mike has a diverse background which ranges from particle physics research and acoustic signature masking for submarines to patented lighting technologies and statistical machine translation for low-resource languages. Mike earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and his Master of Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University.
