Pawan Deshpande is the founder and CEO of Curata. Pawan is responsible for the company's vision, management and advanced development initiatives. Pawan has held software engineering positions at Microsoft and Google and was awarded patents in social networking and natural language processing areas. Pawan earned his S.B. and M. Eng. in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Randy Bernard is the director of sales at Curata. Randy is responsible for leading Curata's sales engine and increasing Curata's customer base. Randy has a strong reputation for coaching and retaining highly productive and motivated sales teams. With over 10 years of sales, management and leadership experience Randy has worked for Zmags, A&L Advertising Group and Paragon Promos. He has also owned and operated his own customer acquisition firms. Randy attended Roger Williams University.
Craig Blum, the director of client success at Curata, is responsible for building and managing the company's client and partner relationships. Craig joined Curata from Viximo, where he managed the company's partner network. Prior to that, he performed a client services role at Matchmine and held key engineering positions at Constant Contact and edocs. Craig earned his B.S. in Management Science and Information Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Babson College.
Michael is the CMO of Curata. He is responsible for Curata's marketing strategy and all related activities. Michael has over 25 years of marketing and sales experience, having successfully launched and sustained three start-up ventures as well as having driven innovative customer creation strategies for large technology organizations. (e.g., IDC, Kenan Systems, Prospero (mZinga) and Millipore). Michael received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as a BS in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Engineering from Northeastern University.

Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande
Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande is the President and Chairman of Sparta Group LLC, and Chairman of Curata and Tejas Networks. Dr. Deshpande is an influential technology entrepreneur and visionary whose companies and ideas often reshape entire industries. Previously, Dr. Deshpande was a founder and Chairman of Sycamore Networks and Cascade Communications Corp. Dr. Deshpande serves as a member of the MIT Corporation, and his generous support has made possible MIT's Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. Dr. Deshpande holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras, an M.E. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, and Ph.D. in Data Communications from Queens University in Canada.
Eric Swanson is a serial entrepreneur. In addition to serving on the board of Curata, Mr. Swanson is currently on the board or otherwise involved in several high tech startup companies covering a wide range of technologies including: web technologies, biomedical imaging, and telecommunications. Mr. Swanson consults for several venture capital firms, is a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, consultant at Draper Laboratories, and does a variety of volunteer activities. Mr. Swanson was a co-founder of several successful start-up companies. This includes Sycamore Networks (NASDAQ IPO), Lightlab Imaging (acquired by St. Jude Medical), Advanced Ophthalmic Devices (Acquired by Carl Zeiss Meditec). Mr. Swanson has authored more than 180 technical papers and holds over 25 US patents and numerous foreign patents. He is a Fellow of the OSA and senior member of the IEEE. Mr. Swanson holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the MIT.
Art Papas is CEO of Bullhorn, the world's largest recruitment software company. Bullhorn's Software as a Service solutions are used by more than 200,000 recruiters at 5,000 companies in over 150 countries. Art co-founded Bullhorn in 1999 and has led it since then. He is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Staffing Association, Portfolio Science Inc. and Career Collaborative, a Boston-based nonprofit focused on helping to end working class poverty. Art is a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Tufts University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
Larry Kim founded WordStream in 2007. He bootstrapped the company by providing internet consulting services while funding/managing a team of engineers and marketers to develop and sell software for search engine marketing automation. In August of 2008 he secured a 4M Series A investment from Sigma Partners. Today he serves as company CTO and is a contributor to both the product team and marketing teams. Larry practices photography in his spare time.
